How to Change Your Valheim Server Name and World Name

Changing your server and world name helps to personalize your server and makes it recognizable to players.

Instructions for Changing the Names

  1. Log in to the game panel: Go to game.valuegamenode.com and log in.

  2. Select your Valheim server from the "My Servers" list.

  3. Navigate to the Startup tab: Select "Startup" from the left-hand menu.

  4. Find the name fields:

    • Server Name: This is the name that appears to players in the Valheim server list. Change this to your desired name.

    • World Name: This is the name of your world's save file. If you are starting a new world, give it a new name here. If you want to load an existing world, make sure the name entered here exactly matches the world's filename.

  5. Make the changes: Enter your desired names into the corresponding fields.

  6. Restart the server: For the changes to take effect, you must restart the server. Go to the "Console" page and click "Restart".

Once the server has restarted, the new server name will be visible in the in-game server list.
