How to Set a Password for Your Valheim Server

Setting a password is recommended if you want to limit access to your server and play only with your friends. This prevents unknown players from joining.

Instructions for Setting the Password

  1. Log in to the game panel: Go to game.valuegamenode.com and log in.

  2. Select your Valheim server from the "My Servers" list.

  3. Navigate to the Startup tab: Select "Startup" from the left-hand menu.

  4. Find the password field: On this page, you will see the server's launch settings. Find the field named "SERVER PASSWORD".

  5. Enter your desired password: Type the password you want to use into this field.

    • Note: The password must be at least 5 characters long.

  6. Restart the server: For the password setting to take effect, you must restart the server. Go to the "Console" page and click "Restart".

Now, anyone trying to join your server will be required to enter the password you have set.
