Connecting with a Custom Domain (Hytale)

Hytale does not currently support SRV records. To use a custom domain, you must use an A Record and include the port number when connecting.

Step 1: Find Your Connection Info

1. Log in to the ValueGameNode Panel.

2. Locate your IP Address and Port (e.g., g1.vgncloud.com and port 1234).

Step 2: Configure Your DNS

1. Go to your domain provider's DNS management (e.g., Cloudflare, Namecheap).

2. Create a new A Record:

   • Name/Host: play (or @ if you want to use the main domain).

   • IPv4 Address: Your Server IP (e.g., g1.vgncloud.com).

   • TTL: Auto or 3600.

3. Save the record.

Step 3: How to Connect

Because SRV records are not supported, you must include the port at the end of your domain when adding the server to your Hytale client.
