How to Connect to Your Game Server via SFTP using WinSCP

SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) allows you to securely upload, download, and manage files on your game server. While our built-in File Manager is great for quick edits, WinSCP is recommended for handling larger files or folders.

Prerequisites

• Download and install WinSCP from the official website.
• Your ValueGameNode Panel password.

Step 1: Locate SFTP Settings

1. Log in to your ValueGameNode Game Panel.
2. Select the server you wish to manage.
3. On the left-hand sidebar, click on Settings.

Step 2: Launch SFTP

In the Settings view, you will see a section labeled SFTP Details.

1. Click the Launch SFTP button.
2. If prompted by your browser, allow it to open WinSCP.
3. WinSCP will open automatically with the Connection Address and Username already filled in.

Step 3: Authentication

1. A password prompt will appear in WinSCP.
2. Enter your ValueGameNode Panel password (the same one you use to log in to the web panel).
3. Click OK.

Manual Connection (Alternative)

If the "Launch SFTP" button does not work, you can enter the details manually in WinSCP:

• File Protocol: SFTP
• Host name: (Copy the "Connection Address" from the Settings page)
• User name: (Copy the "Username" from the Settings page)
• Password: Your panel password.

You are now connected! You can now drag and drop files between your computer and your server.
